Don’t underestimate our current President. Barack Obama might be laid-back and seem cool, but have you ever seen the President when he’s wearing his “regular” clothes? Khakis that are a bit too high along with a Blackberry protective case on his hip makes him suspect. I’m not saying that President Obama isn’t cool, but he’s certainly more Carlton than Fresh Prince.
I’ll throw this one to the experts at Nerdcast.org. What do you guys think?

The same statement can be analogous to the technology realm. When I think nerdy, or even geeky, I think gadgets. When President Obama was on the fast track to popularity, and also the presidency, gadget sites were clamoring for images of what kind of phone President Obama used. Thinks looked bleak when this image surfaced. Heck, I was ready to head back to the Green Party.
But then, something magical happened. Surely the moment where he was seen using an iPhone was his crowning social achievement. I know it was for me. I’ve never felt so…. alive.
My vote goes to Obama. Out of his political area, his attempts at playing it cool seem like the class nerd trying to impress the jocks. The nerds see right through his Class 12 Jock Cloak. Plus, the man signed a damned iPad.
